Heidi Klum and Seal have had to break the news of their divorce to their kids very delicately, assuring them "a lot of things won't change".
Klum and Seal announced recently that they are ending their seven-year marriage. The couple have three children together, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2 apart from Klum's daughter Leni, 7, from an earlier relationship.
"We talk to them, we try to explain as best we could what is going on," People magazine quoted Seal as saying in an interview with Access Hollywood's Billy Bush.
Their split has been difficult but Seal insists that "a lot of things won't change".
"The main thing is to make sure that they feel that they're loved. Make sure they understand that their parents love each other [and] ... it has absolutely nothing to do with them," he said.
The musician, who has said that he still believes reconciliation "may happen", adds that even if the mom and dad remain apart, the kids needn't worry about spending time with them.
"In actual fact, it may even improve the amount of time that we spend with them... Quality time," he said.
