Dhanush’s ‘Sachin moment’

Now that Dhanush has created a new 'kolaveri' of sorts - his anthem for Sachin for energy drink Boost - we asked him what his favourite Sachin moment was.

"I was shooting for Aadukalam at that time," he says, "I don't clearly remember what match it was but Sachin was batting like a warrior and had gone past 150. I was sure he would hit a double ton and was eagerly waiting for it. However, he top-edged one delivery and got out. I was very upset that entire day."

Director Vetri Maaran was furious that Dhanush wasn't concentrating on shoot that day, he reveals. "He said he wouldn't let them watch cricket on the sets," smiles Dhanush.

For the Sachin anthem, Dhanush has managed to get Anushka to shake a leg with him. The anthem was edited by Kola Bhaskar and the camera was handled by Velraj, both of whom have been associated with Dhanush in the past. The music has been arranged by Anirudh who has composed the music for 3.

In Bollywood, Dhanush is slated to Raanjhnaa and he plays a character called Kundan in the film that's set in Varanasi. The actor recently visited the holy place and was stuck by the vibes in it.
